Our story
Two practices.
One throughline.
Therapeutic Cocktails was founded by a professional bartender with a BSc in Psychology. The dual identity is not incidental — it's the brand's most powerful differentiator.
The name carries two meanings
The word therapeutic as we use it here — healing, intentional, evidence-informed — describes not a clinical outcome but a quality of ritual: the care you bring to what you pour, the intention behind how you share it, and the warmth of the moment it creates with people who matter.
And the social ritual of cocktail culture as a form of human connection and cultural expression. Both are true at once.
The art of the well-made drink is the same art as the well-lived moment — deliberate, unhurried, shared freely. Intentionality is the thread that connects both worlds.
Five things we believe
01 · Cocktail culture is a meaningful social and cultural ritual — not mere consumption.
02 · Responsible drinking is a non-negotiable brand value, woven throughout the experience.
03 · Craft, technique, and quality ingredients are the foundation of the practice.
04 · Non-alcoholic alternatives deserve the same depth and rigour as their spirited counterparts.
05 · Education about alcohol and mindful drinking belongs at the table — without being preachy or moralistic.
What we are, and what we're not
We're a library, not a brand of bottles. A point of view, not a product. Each drink in this library is a small lesson in why we drink what we drink — the cultural moment, the technique, the chemistry, the ritual.
We treat readers as intelligent adults. We're equally interested in a perfectly made Negroni and a thoughtfully crafted mocktail. And we're sober-curious without being sober-evangelical.
Where we go from here
The library opens with 20 drinks — 10 of each persuasion. Over time it grows: more drinks, deeper dives, longer essays on the ritual of drinking, the history of taste, and the cultural specificity of every glass.
